Yesterday it was +16

I was getting out my shorts and summer tops yesterday as it was too warm for what I had been wearing. This morning it was -6 and snowing. Oh how much I have forgotten about the north!!

I had lunch today with a person that Art used to visit when he went out of Lynn Lake on the mission plane. She talked of what an encouragment that had been when Art visited and had Bible studies with the little group of believers. It was nice to hear that the time he spent had such a positve impact on her life. She works in a high school. She said that she had never regretted her decision to follow after Jesus, even though there was much persecution from the village at the time. Now it is easier in their village and people don't mind if people decide to follow Jesus. I KNOW that she has made The Way easier for others.

Good Friday

I went to the Presbyterian [?] church for Good Friday. They have a service every night here in Thompson during the Easter Week. The Savation Army lady led the service. Ther church was completely BLACKED out except for 11 candles. The 10 readings were about the sufferings of Christ and the suffering poor ---- Vineyardians would have LOVED it. After each reading they snuffed out a candle so the church was in darkness at the end except for the Christ candle. Then everyone was asked to leave in silence and go home in silence and contemplate what Christ did for us!! I would have followed the silence thing except a bunch of people came and asked me where I had been the last couple of weeks and, well, I HAD to tell them. OK -- I don't follow instructions real well. BUT it was a lovely service. Tonight it is at the Bible Chapel.

I'm listening to Todd Bentley

"Baptiso" He says it is first used in a receipe for pickles. "TO PICKLE" Go in a cucumber and come out a dill. Now that is a TRANSFORMATION. I want that kind of extreme change as I SOAK in the PRESENCE to be changed from GLORY TO GLORY. I can see and taste the difference between a pickle and a cucumber ------ I want that kind of NOTICABLE change. A pickle doesn't have to TRY be a pickle -- they are a pickle. Transformation HAPPENS it isn't taught.

Bosses are here

My boss is here from Winnipeg. She had a couple of excellent ideas of how to make life easier for us. We have a very lovily large yard outside and she pointed out how to make it more "kid friendly".

It is nice to be back in my little haven of an appartment. I can relax here. Isn't that weird??? Especially after LOVING being in the city so much, that Thompson (of all places) should be a refuge for me.
