Face Book

I'm hearing and being invited the enter the Face Book realm. Is this the newest attempt at intimacy that is missing in peoples lives? I quess the same could be said for blogging. No one has time for face to face sit downs so we substitute hearing ABOUT your lives and not knowing YOU. When I see the Grandbabies and see their little shining eyes and the mischief and joy and anger on their tiny faces, NOTHING on a face page or blog could substitute for the eye to eye, heart to heart, contact.

Soccer and TBall

I got to watch Becca play TBall and Bella play soccer. It is fun to watch them run all over and have a GENERAL idea of the point of the game but MOSTLY the running is the important thing. Cheryl is taking Brooke to Gand Forks on the weekend and I get to tag along!! Cold Stone Icecream ... here we come!
I went to the doctor yesterday. Dwight and Sians kids go there too. Dr. Braun said Zane looks like me. Very cool!! He is a cutie! She also said the kids are very well behaved even when Sian has to bring all four kids together. That is nice to here.
It must warm up here or I will be as white when I go home as I am now. I need some Sun.

In the Peg

I've been in The Peg for 3 days. Got here in between Erica and Dwight's birthdays so I could celebrate a little with both of them. Cheryl, Erica and I went to a movie made in France about LOVE described 18 different ways by 18 different directors. Dwight and the adults in the family here, went to play pool together at "Shooters" were we imbibed a little and ate chicken wings. The Grandbabies are all healthy and growing like weeds!! I'm planning on doing as little as possible while I'm here!! WooHoo a holiday.

Questions from Erica

Erica asked me questions from an interviewer's blog which she told me to LINK you too. She TOTALLY has me confused with someone who KNOWS what that means!!!!

Here are her questions

1. What is the best advice you've dispensed in the last 48 hours? Was it to yourself or another person.
Answer: Don't eat Yellow snow (just kidding). I told your dad to just relax and let kids know that he cares about them (cause he does). He started a new security posting at the high school and was concerned with the lack of respect for authority. To me authority comes from relationship.

2. If you could travel through space and time, what time and place would you choose to visit and why?
Answer: I would LOVE to VISIT the whole planet right now, but I would choose to LIVE right here , right now! I don't believe even Kings and Queens of times past would BELIEVE the conveniences that we have here in Canada and most of the world (exception the third world). Why? Because I am so spoiled. If I lived when Jesus walked the earth, I'd have to WALK the earth, not drive. As a woman there would be all kinds of restrictions on what I could do. It would be cool to hang out with Jesus but the clothes, no running water.... see I'm spoiled.

3. You won a contest, a publishing company is going to publish your "How-to" book... all expenses paid, international circulation and guaranteed success on book sales. This is your chance to communicate with millions of people. What is the book about?
Answer: I would write about the wisdom of "Doing Life" the way the Bible says to "do life" without 'Christianeese' . I know it can be done as the material I teach to Youth Care Workers does this for a limited number of people. To think the whole world would get "God Culture" would be wonderous.

4. Where would you build your dream home to retire in? Why there?
Answer: There must to two. One on a lake somewhere and an appartment in Winnipeg. Summer and Winter.

5. If you had the power to change or improve any legislation in Manitoba government, what would you implement?
Answer: I would settle land claims fairly and do away with the reserve system. I believe this has done MORE damage than the boarding schools ever did.
