Zeal and Prudence

These are quotes from St. Mary Euphasia who founded the Sisters of the Good Shepherd where I work:

"Zeal (enthusiastic diligence, ardor, determination to make a difference) does not consist in speaking well, in preaching, in giving good advice, in continually counseling, but rather in GIVING A GOOD EXAMPLE. Example makes a much deeper impression than words."

"Be prudent (sensible, attentive, observant): Do not commmit imprudent acts under the appearance of good. A lack of prudence can lead us into unpardonable STUPIDITY"
